Meet the Artist

Welcome, I'm Michelle a West Berkshire, UK-based artist, specialising in detailed wildlife and waterscapes paintings. I also accept commissions for bespoke pet portraits.

My artworks are inspired by a deep love for birds connected to waterscapes, drawn to their calm presence and quiet strengths.

Being an artist brings me joy, it is how I accept and recognise who I am and why I paint.

As a creative child, I didn't share my art, I hid in quiet places, where I wrote and drew in secret.

Once, in an art lesson, a teacher watched me paint a small blue bird. She asked if I would paint it bigger, to hang on the school wall. I was shocked, embarrassed. So, softly, I said no.

Looking back now, my heart aches for that little girl, who didn't believe her art was worthy of being seen. Who wasn't confident enough to let her work make others feel something, to bring joy.

Today, I paint for her too and this time, I let it be seen.

Through my work, I aim to honour and bring awareness to these fragile ecosystems, creating one-of-a-kind paintings that invite reflection, foster connections and support a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation.

My art can benefit the person who battles with stress and anxiety everyday and needs to surround themselves with a sense of peace, calm and serenity, to allow their mind to rest. I hope to help you transform your home into a beautiful sanctuary.
